Save the Date! Saturday, April 27th, 2019.

 

The 2019 Portland Village School Spring Auction will be held Saturday April 27th at the Axiom Annex in NE Portland. Doors open at 5pm with a 5-6pm Open Bar Happy Hour and live music. Tickets for the event go on sale Monday April 1st with a Early Bird $5 discount per ticket on tickets purchased by April 7th. Regular ticket prices are $35 per person.

Our online auction is open to the entire community and bidding starts on Sunday April 14th and runs through Friday April 26th at 9pm. Get online early to tag your favorite items and set yourself up for instant bidding. Items from massage to ice cream are available through the online auction. Tell your friends and family! No auction ticket is required to participate in the online auction. 

 

 

 

The Great Auction begins with Great Donations! What will you give?

 

 

We are looking for artists, amateur and professional, willing to donate pieces for our Silent Auction Art Walk at the Auction Event on April 27th. If you have a piece you would like to donate, interested in creating a custom piece for the auction, or even interested in doing a commissioned art piece for the highest bidder we’d love to showcase your talents at the auction.

 

We are also looking for musicians willing to perform in 15-30 minute sets during our Happy Hour and Silent Auction portion of the Auction Event on April 27th. We would also love to offer a house party Community sign up so if you are interested in donating a longer set for a house party, private party, or a couple hours of musical instruction we would love to hear from you.

 

We are looking for hosts of a community sign up party. A Community Sign Up Party is a party or event hosted by a parent or group of parents/teachers/or students on a set date for a set fee for a limited number of guests. The parties can range in cost from $10-$200 per person/family and can include signup slots for 4-50 guests. The signups will be available through our online auction open to the whole community starting on April 14th (Event tickets are not required to participate in our online auction). Sign up parties can be geared towards kids and/or adults. Last year we raised over $5000 on these parties and not only do they raise funds for the school but it builds friendships and community by offering the opportunity to sign up for and attend themed parties hosted by the PVS community throughout the year. Ideas for Community Sign Up Parties include: camping trips, hikes, themed dinner parties, playdates/parents nights out, car wash, hobby workshops, sports tournaments, art parties, pool parties, Wine Tasting parties…the list goes on and on. Last year’s hit sign up events included; Salsa Making Party with Hot Mama Salsa, Chop and Chat Freezer to Crock Pot Meal making party, Waldorf Doll making class with Ms Herbert, Afternoon Hike with Ms Poetch, and Tea Time with Ms Mello and Ms Stephanie.

 

We are also looking for donations of gifts of service. Gifts of Service are one-time service gifts won to the highest bidder. Ideas for a service gift include: 2 hours of handyman work, 2 hours of gardening (you supply tools – we supply the hands), a ride to or from the airport, pet sitting or dog walking for a week, carpool and coffee for a week, sewing/knitting lesson, 4 hours interior painting, 6 homemade desserts delivered over a year, packed lunch for a week, a dozen homemade cookies per week for a month. Some of our favorites from last year; Tasty Homemade Treats for a Year, Nana’s Homemade Pies for a Year, and Classroom Cleaning Fairies.

 

If you are not planning on attending the Auction Event donating a hosted party or service is a great way to give back to the community. We look forward to all the creative ways you will come up with to support our amazing school.

 

Volunteers are always needed to make this event successful. Whether you have 15 minutes, or several hours to donate to the auction there is always something you can help out with.
