Learning Enrichment, Activities & Fieldtrips (LEAF) Fund
PVS's annual Learning Enrichment, Activities & Fieldtrips (LEAF) Fund 2024-25
Portland Village School is a tuition-free public charter school. At the beginning of each school year we request that families contribute toward our Learning Enrichment, Activities & Fieldtrips Fund to support the Waldorf materials and learning experiences all students receive. The materials we use at PVS are high quality and customized to support the curriculum at each grade level. These materials include high-quality beeswax, colored pencils, crayons, fountain pens, main lesson books, painting paper, wool, yarn, and more. PVS provides students many unique learning activities and experiences that are connected to the curriculum in deep and tangible ways. These rich materials and nourishing educational activities are key to a Waldorf education and they require significant funding. As a public charter school we do not receive the same full district funding as traditional Portland Public Schools. Fundraising is an integral part of helping our school continue to offer the enriching Waldorf programs we cherish.
We ask that each family pay $250 annually per student toward our LEAF Fund. Please pay what you are able. Every dollar counts! Regardless of financial contribution, each and every child at Portland Village School is offered the same unique experience.
Please submit your payment by January 31st, 2025.
