7/6-7/10: Under the Sea with Mrs. Lambertus
Dive into a week of creativity and discovery in our Under the Sea Summer Camp! Campers will explore the wonders of the ocean through art, imagination, and hands-on science. Together we will learn about fascinating sea creatures, vibrant coral reefs, and the delicate ecosystems that make the ocean so important to our planet. Using a wide variety of artistic materials and found objects, campers will recreate beautiful underwater scenes, build ocean-inspired creations, and bring their imaginations to life. Along the way, we will also talk about how we can care for and protect our oceans, inspiring young ocean advocates who understand the importance of preserving our magical underwater worlds!
7/13-7/17: Farm to Table with Extended Care
A fan favorite from last summer, campers will enjoy the tastes of July in the Pacific Northwest. From jam to bread, we have it all. Students will learn about seasonal ingredients, create delicious foods, and make their own recipe book to take home. Sweet and savory, our campers will be full and happy!
7/20-7/24: River Monsters and Mermaids with Ms. Jessie
Learning from our surroundings, this week will explore the real and imaginary creatures along our beautiful Willamette River. Through activities, games and songs, campers will experience a magical week connected to the nature we are lucky enough to call home. Campers will create costumes and a large puppet for an optional experience at the 11th annual Portland Mermaid parade held nearby on July 25.
7/27-7/31: Fiber Arts with Mrs. Lambertus
Step into a world of texture, color, and creativity at our Fiber Arts Summer Camp! Campers will explore the fascinating world of natural fibers—discovering where materials like wool, cotton, and plant fibers come from and how they have been used throughout history. Through hands-on projects, students will explore a variety of fiber art experiences including knitting, crocheting, natural fabric dyeing, wet felting, and needle felting. Inspired by the beauty of nature, campers will create imaginative fiber landscapes and work together to build a whimsical fiber play world. Along the way, they will craft their own felted gnomes to inhabit and enjoy the magical scenes they create.
8/3-8/7: Theater Improv and Games with Mr. Jeremy
Join us for an exciting week-long theatre camp where creativity takes center stage. Campers will explore the world of performance through improv games, movement exercises, and collaborative (devised) theatre—building confidence, teamwork, and imagination along the way. Throughout the week, students will create an original theatrical work culminating in a fun, end-of-week showcase for family and friends. Whether your child is new to theatre or already loves the spotlight, this camp offers a welcoming space to play, create, and shine!
8/10-8/14: Creative Acting Showcase Theater with Ms. Kelli Barnett-Patterson
This joyful and energetic theatre camp introduces students to the foundational tools of acting while nurturing imagination, confidence, and collaboration. Through voice work, movement, improvisation, and storytelling, students will explore how actors use their bodies, voices, and creativity to bring characters and stories to life. This camp is perfect for students who love storytelling, performing, and creative play—whether they are brand new to theatre or already love the stage.
