When I was in middle school I wanted to be just like the amazing teachers I was interacting with every day. Discovering my own path attending the Oregon College of Education, and later PSU, I landed on a BS degree in Exercise Science. My first job out of school was at a Corporate Fitness center where my boss's extra part-time job was the job I never knew I wanted. I immediately went back to school for my masters degree in Exercise Science with a specialization in Kinesiotherapy. I worked at the Miami, West Palm Beach, and Portland Veterans Administration Medical Centers in physical rehabilitation. When my daughter was in first grade at PVS with no movement teacher, I finally found my home. First volunteering, and then teaching movement full time, I was so taken with the Waldorf movement pedagogy that I spent 5 years getting my Spacial Dynamics certification. In 2014 I started teaching middle school health--another job that I never knew I wanted.
