Getting to Portland Village School
Portland Village School (PVS) is located in North Portland, in the Kenton Neighborhood. We are on a Portland recommended bike route, near 3 major bus lines, one and a half miles west of the I-5 Lombard exit and the Interstate Max station. We encourage carpooling and alternative transportation whenever possible. Each year we participate in the International Bike + Walk to School Day, providing incentives for our classrooms with the most students who have come to school by pedal power and foot.
By Bicycle
The City of Portland has mapped Delaware Avenue as a low traffic, shared roadway for bicycles and autos. Take a look at the city’s North Portland Bike/Walk Map to plan your route. You may also order a free copy.
By Bus
PVS is one block from bus route 75, and less than a 10 minute walk from bus routes 35, 6, and 4. Visit the TriMet Trip Planner to determine your best route.
By MAX
The MAX Yellow Line is a frequent service line that during school days. PVS is about one mile from the Kenton/N Denver Station; you may consider biking or walking from this stop. The Lombard TC MAX Station is about 1.5 miles from school; you can transfer to bus route 75 from here.
By Carpooling
Carpooling is community building and lightens our footprint on the environment. Whenever possible, we encourage families to carpool with other families that live in your neighborhood. In order to facilitate this, we offer a PVS Carpool Google Group.

If driving by car, visit Google Maps or another mapping website or try a suggested route below:
From St. John’s, travel east on N Lombard Ave. Take a left on N Delaware Ave. We are the second block on the right.
From North, east of N Delaware and NE, travel to N Lombard Ave. (1.5 miles west of N Interstate). Take a right at N Delaware Ave. We are the second block on the right.
From SW/SE and taking the I-5, to reduce traffic, exit at N Rosa Parks Way and go West. Turn right on N Denver Ave. Turn left at N. Lombard Ave. Right at N Delaware. We are the second block on the right.
