Portland Village School is grateful to be awarded a $55,000 capacity-building grant from the Alice C. Tyler Perpetual Trust, which we received in December, 2012. The Trust visited PVS last spring and had a very positive response after observing several classes in the upper and lower grades, as well as some subject lessons. This grant is earmarked to support building a development program at our school to increase our contributed income, and will also provide smaller amounts of funding for other school activities.
As we return to school in January, I want to highlight some events in the months ahead, up until the Spring Break in March (25-29). The primary focus of the collective efforts of teachers and support staff at PVS continues to be our students, teaching, and learning. For the precise dates and times of events, please refer to the Weekly Digest or annual calendar.
Please visit the new Principal's Corner page to get the full update!
Portland Village School now has admissions applications for the 2013-2014 school year available.
For more information about the application process or informational events, please visit the Prospective Students page or email Rebeckah Castillo.
It's time for the Annual Appeal, please make a gift or pledge this week by submitting a payment form at the tables in front of Portland Village School or at the Front Office. Gifts of all sizes are important as we show our gratitude for the role Portland Village School plays in our lives. Many Portland Village School Board members and families are using the monthly giving option in order to make their gift, please consider this option. Pass the word on to relatives and friends.
