Each week a Weekly Digest is created with brief messages about Portland Village School (PVS). In the digest you can get timely information about school activities as well as other school related news. The digest is sent by email and will be posted here. Contact us if you have a student enrolled with PVS and would like to receive the digest by email. Read the most recent Weekly Digest.
Portland Village School typically follows the Portland Public School(PPS) schedule, with the exception of PPS In-Service days. In the case of bad weather please visit http://www.flashalert.net/news.html?id=69 to see if school will be canceled.
The 2012-2013 Admissions Application is now available for download and will be accepted beginning on January 3, 2012. To be eligible for the lottery, applications will be accepted during the Open Enrollment period, January 3, 2012, to March 23, 2012. For more information, please refer to the Prospective Students page.
There will be two informational evenings for prospective parents on January 26, 2012, and February 23, 2012, starting at 7 p.m. We will also hold an Open House on February 25, 2012, at 9:30 a.m. for prospective kindergarteners and their families to learn more about our school. Tour dates are now closed.
This website was built for the Portland Village School by volunteers. Thank you to the individuals that helped with gathering information, pictures and writing for the site. And a special thank you to the parent volunteer that programmed the site.
Early release will occur every Thursday at 2pm throughout the school year. It is imperative that you pick up your child on time or make provisions in advance with the after school program provider Vermont Hills Family Life Center, they can be found at www.vhflc.com or by calling 503-452-8633.
