The Kenton Community Art Program is a 6 week long summer day camp located at the Portland Village School

A week of camp costs $120. We have a limited amount of reduced cost slots for low-income families. If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunch at school, you can qualify for 50% off. These slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is your son a vigilant recycler? Is your daughter a passionate vegetarian? Do the youth you work with want to change the world? There are camps for teens who like volleyball or theater or want to lose weight. But what about for kids who want to make a difference in addressing issues that are important to them and their community?

An innovative summer camp for kids ages 11-16, Youth Empowered Action (YEA) summer camp inspires and empowers youth to make a difference by developing the skills, knowledge, and
confidence to take action when they return home. YEA campers are the future heads of their high school or college environmental club, community and civic leaders, they may create or run their own nonprofit, or help organize their neighborhood around a vital issue. All youth participants leave with a supportive community of peers and the support of a mentor for one year after the
conclusion of the camp.

YEA is a
nonprofit 501(c)3 fiscally sponsored by Youth for Environmental Sanity. www.yesworld.org.  The camp program fee is $800.  Some scholarships are available to campers with need.
